Kathmandu Engineering College offers five different faculties at the Bachelor Level in Engineering and Architecture.

Extended Programs

Kathmandu Engineering College has arrangements for interested students of Electronics & Communication and Computer, who wish to take a Bachelors Degree in Integrated Media from Wakkanai Hokusei Gakuen University, Japan*. It is a four years program that is 2 years at KEC and 2 years in Japan.

*Conditions apply as per the rules and regulation of the college.

Prerequisites

In addition to the two years B.E. courses, a student has to take the following courses in the KEC to be eligible to apply for the mentioned study in Japan.

  • Japanese Language - Level 2
  • Java Language - Basic Level

Facilities

  1. Scholarships are awarded to top performers for study at WAKHOK, Japan with completion of 2 years at KEC.
  2. Selection criteria for Scholarship are: GPA, Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), recommendation from college and department.
  3. Up to 62 credits transfer upon successful completion of 2 years at KEC.
  4. Students are allowed to do Part-Time Job.
  5. Assistance in Job Placement after completion of the course.

At present, the process for similar type of extended programs in USA and Australia is on the pipeline.
