Helping Hand- an Effort to lift people (H-HELP) is the social club of Kathmandu Engineering College involved in uplifting human values and social values. H-HELP was established in 2004 A.D. and for more than a decade it has been providing social platform and moral values for the future engineers.

H-HELP is a platform to provide service along with the development of self-confidence, professionalism, moral values and ethics that one should develop in their student life.

As H-HELP has members from various faculties, it has been an instrumental factor in increasing the fellowship among students. H-HELP has been organizing various events in order to provide service to society.

Some of our major projects are as follows:-

1. Annual Blood Donation

H-HELP organizes blood donation campaign semi-annually with more than 200 participants in co-ordination with the Red Cross Society, Nepal.

2. Educating Nepal

H-HELP played active role as volunteers in a seminar of Educating Nepal on December 21, 2013 held in KEC.

3. Relief to Flood Victims

H-HELP had a cloth collection campaign for the flood victims.

4. Relief to Acid Attack Victims

H-Help donated a sum of Rs.15, 000/- to the recent acid attack victims: Sangita Magar and Seema Basnet on February 26, 2014. The fund collection was successful by donation from students, teachers, and staffs of Kathmandu Engineering College.

5. Relief to Earthquake Victims

H-HELP club members volunteered in several earthquake affected areas. We also collected clothes and stationery items and donated to earthquake victims. Some of our members were involved in Rapid Visual Building Assessment organized by NEA (Nepal Engineering Association).

6. Charity Show

H-HELP has organized previous charity show on May 23, 2014. The fund from previous Charity Show was donated to orphanage.

Beside these, H-HELP is linked with other social organization like Nepal Red Cross, Educating Nepal, Rotract to conduct different social program. H-HELP is also coordinating with teaching and non-teaching ladies staff of Kathmandu engineering college.
